The fly eye mirror uses new/old stock optical lenses all of the same strength and size. The lenses were assembled on a form and project out 3” at the viewer. The antique mirror placed behind the eyeglass lenses create a web like barrel effect. The border is made of 4” x4” Luxfer Glass tiles from the 1890’s. Luxfer tiles where used in storefront transom windows to bring light into a space before electricity was available. Each corner of the border features a tile embossed with the Luxfer logo. The frame is made from 4 ½” mahogany with a natural finish.
